Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

An engineering firm in the Charleston, West Virginia area is recruiting a skilled AutoCAD Civil 3D Designer. In this role, you will be a key contributor to critical municipal and environmental infrastructure projects, developing detailed technical drawings and plans for public water/wastewater systems, storm water/sewer management, and advanced treatment facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings, construction plans, and models for public water, sewer, storm water, and treatment plant infrastructure using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Lead drafting initiatives for municipal utility projects from conceptual layout through final submission.
• Partner closely with professional engineers and project managers to optimize design solutions for municipal and private clients.
• Serve as an active member of the QA/QC team, performing plan reviews and providing constructive feedback to maintain high standards.
• Manage design workflows and meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Requirements

• Associate degree in CADD, Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1+ years of professional experience as a CADD Designer in civil infrastructure or environmental projects.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Proven track record of operating self-sufficiently while maintaining strong collaborative skills within a multidisciplinary team.
