The West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility is seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses to join our long-term care team. You can make a difference in the lives of Veterans by Serving Those Who Served! As a Licensed Practical Nurse in a long-term care setting, your duties are focused on delivering hands-on patient care. LPN responsibilities include direct patient care under the supervision of an RN.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safely prepares and administers residents' medications.
- Treating pressure sores and wounds and applies dressings and bandages.
- Monitoring residents and reporting changes
- Monitoring food and liquid intake and output
- Observes residents on a daily basis to identify, interpret, and document physical and emotional status and/or patterns and response to treatment or medication.
- Obtains and records vital signs and maintains charts and logs.
- Assists with supervision of Health Service Workers.
This position is full time (40 hours per week), with day and night shifts available. Must have flexibility to cover shifts as needed, including nights, weekends and holidays to ensure continuous, safe staffing levels.

Minimum QualificationsCurrent West Virginia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
