ABRISA TECHNOLOGIES () designs, manufactures, and distributes precision optical coating solutions and custom fabricated glass optical products via two divisions:
Abrisa Industrial Glass, located in Clarksburg, WV.

We are currently seeking a QUALITY MANAGER to join the team in Clarksburg, WV. We offer a competitive base salary of 60,000 to 80,000 annually depending on qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, etc.

Performs a variety of tasks. Works under almost no supervision; typically reports independently to an executive. Complete independence, creativity and latitude are required, including presenting contrary views. Performs quality management tasks and maintains and supports the quality system as required to ensure the highest organizational quality levels, including measuring quality and developing strategic quality improvement programs. Manages organizational regulatory compliance in the quality arena.

Relies heavily on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

All functions are either performed directly, through subordinates, or with team members. These responsibilities apply to all physical sites within Abrisa.

• Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
• Hands‑on engagement with inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity
  • Visually inspect/audit raw and finished product to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Perform Incoming Inspections on production materials per documented procedures.
• Document non-conformances and take action as required
• Track, report and analyze internal and external quality levels.
• Define, plan and execute projects directed at quality improvement.
• Perform and manage necessary internal and external audits necessary to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Develop and deploy Supplier Qualification programs and track supplier quality.
• Interface directly with customers on understanding, managing and resolving field quality issues.
• Manage regulatory compliance for a variety of regulatory requirements such as Conflict Minerals, RoHS, REACH and ITAR.
• Product/process reporting (i.e., AS9102 FAIRs, PPAPs)
• Responding to customer SCARs using 8D methodology
• Maintain and improve the Quality System as defined in the Quality Manual and associated procedures and other documents, in compliance with ISO standards, to maintain formal ISO 9001 certification.
• Support engineering and sales members on specs and interpretations of specs.

Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and termination.

• English verbal and written is necessary. Spanish verbal and written is a plus.
• Computer fluency is required, especially Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with an ERP System and maintain transactional accuracy is required.
• Strong statistical background, including ability to analyze statistical data
• Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of technical skill, including relatively non‑technical product builders through to senior engineering and management personnel of suppliers and customers.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing methods and general practices
• Full understanding of ISO 9001 standards requirements and compliance

• 4‑year technical degree or equivalent. In rare cases, informal technical education and very strong experience might be substituted for the degree requirement.
• 5 years’ quality engineering experience
• 5 years’ management experience
