Elevate your career as an Office Operations Associate, a dynamic lead role where your expertise in policy and practice drives our facility’s mission forward. Working under general supervision, you will perform complex tasks that go far beyond standard administration, serving as a critical support link for upper management and a mentor who trains, organizes, and checks the work of clerical staff.
From analyzing high‑stakes interstate compact transfer documents and processing daily ICOTS reports to commanding the NCIC terminal for vital criminal background checks and entering wanted persons, your work ensures every detail meets strictly mandated legal time frames. You’ll be the professional voice of our office, managing sensitive inquiries and technical operations with precision, while also contributing to our facility’s safety through one required 12‑hour security shift per week.

In accordance with SPB 3088 effective 10/7/23, $5000 will be added to the minimum starting rate of pay for all classifications within a Critical Vacancy Pay Supplemental Facility. Critical Vacancy Pay Facilities:
Huttonsville Correctional Center and Jail, Mount Olive Correctional Complex and Jail, Western Regional Jail and Corrections Facility, Northern Correctional Facility (including Ohio County Correctional Center), Northern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, Chick Buckbee Juvenile Center, Vicki Douglas Juvenile Center, Potomac Highlands Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, and Eastern Regional Jail and Corrections Facility (including Martinsburg Correctional Center) (SPB 3088)Employees in this classification shall receive an annual base building pay differential each fiscal year of $250 after completing one year of service.
If an employee is hired into a Critical Vacancy Pay Facility (CVPF) and leaves the facility, the additional pay differential of $5,000 shall be removed from their salary, unless transferring to another CVPF.

Training and ExperienceTraining: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing routine office work or customer-facing roles.
Substitution: College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
PG: 7 $ 29,070 - $49,360
Market Rate: $44,108
Minimum Special Hiring Rate: $34,070
