Job Description & How to Apply Below
Lead the Build: A Day in the Life at Image Industries Step onto the production floor of our Equipment Design & Development (EDD) department and set the pace. You’ll kick off the day aligning EDD technicians around priorities, translating the production schedule into clear assignments, and removing roadblocks before they slow the team down. As the go-to working supervisor, you’ll keep work orders moving in the ERP, coordinate equipment builds, repairs, and rebuilds, and verify every shipment leaves with the right documentation—on time and to spec.

Midday, you’re inspecting finished equipment for quality, collaborating with Quality to resolve issues, and coaching technicians on standard work. You’ll keep a close eye on parts and tooling so the team never stalls, jump in to help organize materials and inventory counts, and ensure PPE is used and the area stays clean and safe. Before you wrap, you’ll update Customer Service on status, flag any delays to management, and partner with Engineering and Operations on new builds and prototype tests.

Core Responsibilities Supervise and direct daily work of EDD technicians; assign tasks based on production priorities and monitor focus and productivity.

Identify and clear bottlenecks; escalate issues promptly to keep schedules on track.

Coordinate equipment builds, repairs, and rebuilds; track work orders through completion in the ERP and ensure proper job closure.

Inspect completed equipment before shipment; confirm products meet company quality standards and collaborate with Quality to resolve issues.

Train employees on standard work procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

Ensure technicians have required parts and tools; report shortages and material issues; maintain accurate production-area inventory and assist with counts and organization.

Train and mentor new technicians; coach on workmanship, productivity, and safety; conduct performance discussions with constructive feedback.

Recommend process improvements and identify training needs across the team.

Coordinate with Customer Service on production status; communicate production delays to management.

Support Engineering and Operations with new equipment builds and prototype testing.

Promote safe work practices, ensure proper PPE usage, maintain a clean and organized area, and report safety concerns immediately.
