Are you a highly skilled nurse who thrives in fast-paced, high-acuity environments? Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center (NWMRMC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) to join our emergency services team.
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment to patients experiencing a wide range of urgent and life-threatening conditions. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to respond effectively during emergent situations while maintaining a patient-centered approach to care.

- Perform rapid patient assessment, triage, and prioritization of care for emergency patients
- Provide direct nursing care for patients with acute illness, injury, and trauma
- Initiate and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions as prescribed
- Monitor patient condition and respond quickly to changes in clinical status
- Operate and monitor emergency medical equipment including cardiac monitors and defibrillators
- Assist with emergency procedures such as intubation, trauma response, and resuscitation
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and discharge instructions
- Maintain infection prevention and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, EMS personnel, and interdisciplinary teams
- Support hospital emergency preparedness and response protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN required)
Licensure/
Certifications:
Current Mississippi Registered Nurse license or Compact State license
- ACLS, PALS certified within six months of hire
- TNCC within one year of hire
Experience: One (1) or more years of emergency or acute care nursing experience preferred. Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills required.
