Are you a highly skilled anesthesia provider who is passionate about delivering safe, high-quality patient care? Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center (NWMRMC) is seeking a dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our surgical services team.

The CRNA is responsible for providing anesthesia care across the perioperative continuum, including pre-anesthesia evaluation, administration and maintenance of anesthesia, and post-anesthesia recovery management. This role works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments including patient history, physical evaluation, and anesthesia planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans for surgical and procedural patients.
  • Administer and maintain general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC).
  • Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses during procedures.
  • Manage airway support, ventilation, and hemodynamic stability during anesthesia.
  • Respond to and manage anesthesia-related emergencies and complications.
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluation to ensure safe patient recovery.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to surgical and anesthesia services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program. Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia required.

Licensure/

Certifications:

  • Current Registered (RN) license in the State of Mississippi or Compact State Licensure.
  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with CRNA certification.
  • Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) required.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Experience: Previous CRNA experience preferred. Experience providing anesthesia services in acute care or surgical settings.
