The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. The LPN supports patient treatment plans, monitors patient conditions, administers medications, and contributes to a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and hospital policies
• Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the supervising RN or physician
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record
• Provide patient and family education related to treatment plans and care instructions
• Maintain infection prevention and patient safety practices
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support quality patient outcomes
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Support a culture of compassion, safety, and teamwork
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program

• Current Mississippi Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Compact State license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• One (1) year of clinical nursing experience preferred
• Experience in acute care, long-term care, or clinic settings preferred
