Lead Infant Teacher

Overview

Rate of pay is competitive and based on level of education and experience in the field.

• Plan, supervise, and carry out an education program designed by Lil’ People’s Place.
• Responsible for the appearance of a welcoming classroom (ie. bulletin boards, care of equipment and materials, overall cleanliness, and organization).
• Mentor assistant teachers.
• Always supervise children in the classroom and on playground.
• Share in classroom cleaning duties.
• Have open, daily communication with parents.
• Lesson planning.
• Implementing strong classroom management.
• Maintaining an environment that meets all licensing regulations, to promote a loving and nurturing classroom.
• Having a positive and professional attitude.

• Looking for someone who is positive, caring, loving, and patient.
• Must work well with others.
• Able to lift children of varying ages and equipment of varying sizes.
• Educational requirements:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, CDA or minimum 12 semester hours in Early Childhood Education or child related field with 960 hours of experience.
• Infant, Child and Adult CPR and First Certification.
• 16 hours of continued education.
• Fingerprint Background Check through CCBC.
