Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Job Duties

• regular cleaning of facilities to maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment;
• move janitorial equipment, furniture and other building items as necessary;
• perform cleaning duties such as changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, etc. at heights of up to 12 feet using a ladder;
• arrange school furnishings and equipment to prepare for meetings, classroom activities, and special events;
• maintain and restock janitorial supplies as needed;
• perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• High School Diploma or equivalent or 1 year of experience in housekeeping
• Strong Communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• Familiar with OSHA and other health and safety regulations related to cleaning supplies, chemicals, and housekeeping
• Professional experience in stripping and refinishing tile floors
• ASL proficiency at 2+ or above as measured by the American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI)
