Job Description

3M is seeking Machinist candidates for the full‑time 2nd or 3rd shift in Clarkston, Georgia.

• Pay starting at $26.25 per hour
• 3 weeks paid vacation + 12 paid holidays

• Use computer‑aided design software to implement solutions for obtaining desired grinding results
• Operate a coordinate measuring machine and other measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify work and adjust
• Identify and properly manage hazardous waste
• Participate in all safety and regulatory training needed to fulfill the duties
• Follow all plant safety rules and regulations
• Analyze the performance of equipment and tooling to recommend changes and improvements to equipment and procedures
• Communicate with other departments regarding quality, safety, and equipment issues

• High school diploma or GED (completed and verified prior to start)
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
• Excellent mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and proficiency with geometry, trigonometry, and machining calculations
• Complex reading of drawings and notes
• May be required to pass 3M elective testing as part of the selection process

Onsite – Clarkston, Georgia.
