Carpet Installer

Position Overview

As part of the talented Thunder Jet team, you will be required to cover aluminum and wood parts with carpet and vinyl by glue or stapling. This position requires personal dependability, high productivity, teamwork, quality and safety.

• Adhere carpet to metal and wood parts with glue using various tools.
• Trim excess carpet with scissors or utility knife.
• Preassemble hardware using air rivet gun or air drill.

• Carry metal, wood, and carpet pieces weighing 2 to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Read tape measures.
• Work safely at all times.
• Be 18 years of age and pass a background check.
• Maintain good attendance.

• Familiar with hand tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Frequent talking, hearing, seeing, sitting.
• Regular standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, balancing, reaching.
• Occasional lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. Moderate to high noise in manufacturing setting.

The anticipated pay range for this position is grade 2 ($19.20–$20.20). Base pay varies based on skills, experience, business needs and location.
