Grade Foreman - Clarkston​/Lewiston

Knife River Idaho is looking for a self‑motivated individual to serve as a Grade Foreman. The Foreman will create a safe and secure work environment for all project employees by reducing exposure to work risks and will develop a strong understanding of job costs, striving to complete every project under budget and on time.

This position requires out‑of‑town travel, sometimes for long periods of time, and availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.

• Five (5) years or more preferred in underground utility excavation and general construction operations.
• One (1) year or more managing/supervising construction crews.
• Have verifiable experience as an equipment operator.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work day and night shifts; shifts may vary according to project demands.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be willing to travel if job requires.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen.

• Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of safety rules, regulations, construction layout, and project specifications.
• Understand underground utility work and operate a wide range of construction equipment, including performing basic equipment maintenance.
• Supervise a crew of one or more employees, depending on the project scope.
• Collaborate with Supervisors and Project Managers to develop and execute effective work plans and schedules to meet project goals.
• Prepare or assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly job tracking documentation and employee time records.
• Maintain consistent attendance and a strong safety record, setting a positive example for the team.
• Perform steady to intermittent physical labor, including standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven terrain, lifting, carrying, pushing, shoveling, and raking.

Must be hard working, dependable and able to perform manual labor for approximately 80% of the work shift.
