Job Title:
Substitute Teachers
Reports to:
Building Administrators FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree or higher;
* Must have, or the ability to obtain, a valid Washington State Substitute Teacher's Certificate;
* Experience working with children and students preferred;
* Ability to communicate professionally with students, parents/guardians, administrators and other school staff;
* Ability to follow and enforce rules, policies and procedures;
* Must be punctual and reliable;
* Fingerprint background check is required;
* Must pass a criminal background check that meets required state, federal, and Clarkston School District standards;
* Must have, or be able to obtain, current valid CPR/First aid certificate
* Safe Schools Training is REQUIRED, and needs to be completed BEFORE start date
Job Description:
* Teach lesson plans and instructions as directed by the absent teacher
* Maintain clean, respectful, and orderly classroom
* Follow classroom and school procedures as directed by the school
* Leave notes for the regular teacher at the end of the teaching day
* Communicate in a friendly and positive manner towards parents, students, and administrators
* Keep records of attendance, accidents and incidents
* Protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
* Ensure safety of students at all times
* Other duties as assigned by Building Administrator
