Job DescriptionCHS Assistant Marching Band Director
Reports to
:
Principal / Athletic Director / Band Director
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must pass fingerprinting/background check that meets required state, federal and Clarkston School District standards
- Must hold a current and valid First Aid and CPR card, OR be able to obtain them PRIOR to working with athletes
- Must be at least 19 years of age for Assistant Coaching Positions and at least 21 years of age for Head Coaching Positions pursuant to WIAA regulations
- Must complete WIAA required training
- Must complete onboarding paperwork and Safe Schools training PRIOR to working with athletes
- Be available for all practices and competitions from 3 p.m. daily during their coaching season with availability on weekends as required
- Prior coaching experience preferred
- Supports the High School in all of its music programs and demonstrates commitment to strengthening relations within the educational system, as well as the coaching profession
- Demonstrates loyalty and supports theband director in all capacities of marching and performing
- Knowledgeable and aware of rules and regulations concerning his/her activity
- Assumes any duties assigned to him/her by theband directorpertaining to the marching band
- Assists and is accountable to the band director, athletic director and principal
- Holds a current first aid and CPR card
