About the Role

Lead, manage and coach associate performance and development while managing branch staffing levels. Responsible for branch P&L, achieving growth targets, managing the branch's portfolio, and carefully managing branch expenses.

Achieve consistent satisfactory audit results through sound operational practices. Partner closely with cross‑functional leaders within Retail and across the bank to provide meaningful client solutions in line with Retail business strategy.

Demonstrate basic knowledge of core products and Columbia's Business/Consumer Financial Review process. Develop and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with consumers, public figures, businesses, and charitable organizations in the local community. Embody and lead the core values of the bank every day in interactions with associates, customers, and shareholders.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent satisfactory audit results through sound operational practices.
  • Partner closely with cross‑functional leaders within Retail and across the bank to deliver client solutions aligned with Retail strategy.
  • Apply knowledge of core products and the Business/Consumer Financial Review process.
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with consumers, public figures, businesses, and local charitable organizations.
  • Lead by example, embodying and reinforcing the bank’s core values in all interactions.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s, Vocational, or Technical Degree in banking, business, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • At least 3 years of prior banking experience, including consumer lending and exposure to business lending origination.
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience in banking or retail, including team leadership, coaching, daily supervision, labor‑law compliance, performance management, hiring, and termination (preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of banking products and services with demonstrated business acumen for solving consumer and small‑business banking challenges.
  • Proficiency in consumer lending, prior exposure to business lending, and ability to manage deposit and loan portfolios, including less complex consumer and business relationships.
  • Active membership in local community organizations, demonstrating community leadership commitment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi‑task effectively.
  • Proficient use of spreadsheets and other banking computer systems, comfort operating office equipment, and performing repetitive tasks such as counting cash, typing, and handling documents.
  • Compliance with all Federal, State, and local consumer protection laws governing loan origination, including the SAFE Act and related registration and renewal rules.
  • Position requires acting as a Bank MLO; MLOs must register as required by the SAFE Act. This position is not authorized to act as a Bank Closed‑End MLO.
  • Notary certification preferred.

Pay Range: $85,000.00 to $, dependent upon non‑discriminatory factors including experience, education, and location. Performance‑based incentive compensation may be available.
