Our busy dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team! In addition to a strong commitment to customer service, the ideal candidate must have the ability to multi-task in a busy office, have a positive attitude, and be a team player!
Job Description- Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures
- Recording patient histories & medications
- Administering injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Preparing examination rooms and sterilizing instruments
- Performing basic laboratory tests and handling laboratory specimens
- Educating and advising patients on prescribed treatments
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing medical records
- Facilitating communication between the patient and healthcare team
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
- Managing medical supply inventory and ordering supplies as needed
- Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of medical office software applications
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in patient careli>
- Must be a team player, able to follow directions, and eager to learn
- Must have integrity and accuracy when entering and reporting numbers, names, and results
- Possess strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must have strong computer, typing, and technology skills
- Demonstrate a professional presence
- Have a positive attitude to maximize quality patient care
- Demonstrate patient advocacy and conflict resolution skills for patients of all ages and backgrounds
- MUST be able to show up to shift on time
- Full-Time:
Monday - Friday, 7:00am/8:00am – 4:00pm-5:00pm
- Hight School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Medical Assistant Certification is preferred
- Pay starts at $19.00 per hour and increases based on years of experience
