Position: Finisher- 1

Position Overview

As part of the talented Thunder Jet team, you will perform installation of various components in Thunder Jet boats while working in a large manufacturing facility. A variety of installation tasks are performed building the front, middle and back of each boat using power and non‑power hand tools while working from specifications and schematic drawings. Functions
  • Apply high energy, self‑motivation, and initiative to learn and be trained on several types of equipment and processes.
  • Read drawings and specifications.
  • Use hand tools including sanders, measuring tape, box cutters, adhesive sprayer, and buffer.
  • Prepare the boat as needed for the next department.
  • Daily job duties will be varied and dynamic at entry level.
  • Workload will be tracked via daily schedules and assignments requiring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness of completion.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures, identifying risks and hazards prior to job completion.
  • Stand, bend and twist for a 10‑hour shift in the paint area; lift and work overhead within prescribed safety limitations.
  • Work at heights on platforms and inside paint booths in all weather conditions, including extreme heat.
  • Practice good housekeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
  • Frequency to talk, hear, see and use arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, balance and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move various materials.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Noise level moderate to high.
Required Qualifications
  • Follow established safety processes to handle equipment and install components for the boats.
  • Be detailed and organized.
  • Show good safety awareness, attitude, and attendance; be a self‑starter and a team player.
  • Listen and learn processes in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three months experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred; willing to train.
  • Knowledge of drills, drivers, rivet guns, saws, sanders, and hammers.
  • Basic math and reading skills; able to read a tape measure.
  • Computer skills.
  • Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and LSS.
Salary Range

The anticipated pay range for this position is grade 2 $ 19.20‑$20.20 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors, including job‑related knowledge or skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
