Job Summary:
Do you love teaching nurses but also thrive on managing projects, coordinating programs, and bringing new ideas and initiatives to life? This position receives a $2.00/hr Clinical Coordinator differential, in addition to base pay. The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) role is integral to the success of Tri State Health; participating in the onboarding and orientation of new staff, providing training and continuing education, updating policies and procedures, and working with hospital leadership to develop and meet strategic organizational goals.
Duties include evaluation of evidence that supports clinical practice, implementing changes in the delivery of safe patient care, ensuring staff competency, and prioritizing organizational education needs. In addition to sharing Clinical Educator Generalist duties, this role is responsible for combining clinical education expertise with oversight and project coordination in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
Certifications:
- Current Washington State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR.
- Minimum of 5 years nursing experience in an acute care setting, required.
- Personal attributes to include ownership of actions, organized, open-minded, effective communication and ability to adapt.
- Skills to include strong basic nursing and the ability to coach and guide staff striving towards excellence in patient care.
- Other skills to include electronic medical record documentation, Word and Excel experience.
- Must be available to work flexible hours to accommodate staff.
