Registered Nurse - Pre, PACU, Phase II
This position requires a 4 ten-hour shifts schedule with variable hours and a shared on-call rotation.
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Pre-operative, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Phase II skills. The RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care across the Outpatient Services area, which includes Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Pre-operative Clinic, and PACU. This role includes recognizing post-anesthesia and post-operative complications, alongside facilitating peri-operative education and care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing assessment and care to patients in the Pre-operative, PACU, and Phase II settings.
- Float between various areas in the Outpatient Services department as needed.
- Administer conscious sedation for special procedures and ensure patient safety.
- Educate patients on peri-operative processes.
- Monitor and recognize potential post-operative complications.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license is required.
- Strong experience in Pre, PACU, and Phase II nursing preferred.
- Experience in outpatient settings is highly desirable.
- Advanced assessment skills are essential for this role.
