Registered Nurse – PACU

Peri-Operative And Pacu Nursing Care

Seeking an experienced RN to provide peri-operative and PACU nursing care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The candidate must possess strong skills in preoperative, PACU, and Phase II recovery, ensuring patient safety and effective recovery processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' condition pre and post-procedure to determine readiness for discharge or further intervention.
• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients throughout procedures and recovery phases.
• Float across various outpatient services including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and Pre-operative Clinic.
• Recognize and respond promptly to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications, providing appropriate interventions.
• Educate patients on peri-operative care, recovery expectations, and post-discharge instructions.
• Participate in shared on-call rotation to support hospital needs outside regular hours.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with recent experience in PACU, Pre-Op, or Phase II recovery.
• Strong clinical skills in peri-operative assessment, sedation, and post-procedure care.
• Ability to float across multiple outpatient departments and adapt to variable schedules.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment under pressure.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
