Registered Nurse IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in this role provides comprehensive patient care in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, accommodating Med Surg, PCU, and Telemetry patients. Flexibility across departments ensures optimal patient outcomes and efficient unit operations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring safe and effective delivery across Med Surg, PCU, and Telemetry units.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatments using appropriate communication modalities.
• Implement and monitor safety measures, including restraint policies and equipment safety protocols.
• Operate and troubleshoot nursing and medical equipment, accessing manuals and performing repairs as needed.
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses accurately and promptly, including physicians’ orders and shift reports.
• Maintain cleanliness, restock supplies, and ensure emergency carts are prepared for immediate use.

Qualifications:

• Active WA RN license required.
• Proven experience in Med Surg, PCU, or Telemetry nursing.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety protocols, infection control, and equipment operation.
• Ability to adapt to departmental needs and work collaboratively under minimal direct supervision.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Willingness to work through the upcoming holiday season with minimal RTO.
