Registered Nurse IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will be flexible across departments, providing comprehensive patient care and ensuring safety and effective communication.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and provide education using appropriate modalities to promote understanding and recovery.
• Ensure patient safety through preventative measures, including proper use of side rails, restraints, and equipment.
• Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment in PCU, Telemetry, and Med Surg areas, accessing manuals as necessary.
• Follow infection control, isolation, and standard precautions protocols consistently and document compliance.
• Maintain accurate, complete documentation of patient status, interventions, responses, and physician orders.
• Communicate effectively with team members, report critical lab values promptly, and provide thorough shift reports.

Qualifications:

• Active Washington RN license required.
• Proven experience in MSU, PCU, telemetry, or Med Surg units.
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient education and safety measures.
• Knowledge of equipment operation, troubleshooting, and infection control procedures.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to department Flex as needed.
