Registered Nurse - Operating Room

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. This role includes supervising assigned team members and rendering nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital, Nursing Department, and regulatory standards.

The RN will be responsible for the care of patients in the operating room, providing care as a circulating and/or scrub nurse, and educating patients to ensure safe and therapeutically effective nursing care while maintaining the work area. The RN participates in 24-hour call coverage and applies skills in nursing assessment to recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.

Days M-F (5 8s), rotate call

• Previous experience in Operating Room and Recovery Room nursing preferred.
• Current Washington State or Multi State RN license required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification card on hire.
• ACLS & PALS required.

This is a 13-week contract position.
