This position is for a pre-K para-professional position at RELA.
The applicant must pass a drug test and fingerprint screening per FSSA guidelines, along with the mandated criminal background check required for all school employees.
Minimum Qualifications- Show an interest in working with children of all abilities at the pre-K age level
- Willingness to work with special education students
- Willingness to work with a team of principal, interventionists, classroom teacher, and parents with flexibility and a positive attitude
- Must have highly qualified status (completed at least two years of college (60 credit hours), hold an associate’s degree, OR pass the Indiana State Para Pro Assessment)
- Per FSSA regulations, a successful applicant must pass a drug screen, background, and fingerprint check
- Assist the teacher with students academically, socially, and behaviorally
- Work with small groups of students in a classroom setting; participate in educational training relevant to the students’ needs
- Assist with students’ program planning and instruction
- Provide student supervision as needed
- Other duties as assigned
