Automotive Sales
Job Description
GOOD AT SALES? WE SHOULD TALK.
Automotive Sales Consultant | $75,000+ Earning Potential
No automotive sales experience required. Paid training. Guaranteed income during your first 90 days.
You don’t need automotive experience to be successful at Coyle Automotive.
You need to be good with people. You need to listen. You need to follow up. And you need to compete.
We can teach you the cars.
Coyle Automotive is looking for motivated, professional Sales Consultants to join our Chevrolet GMC and Nissan sales teams in Clarksville, Indiana.
Whether you’re already successful in automotive sales or you’ve built your skills in another sales or customer‑service industry, we’re interested in people who know how to communicate, build relationships and follow through.
If that sounds like you, we should talk.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We believe successful salespeople need more than a desk and a phone. They need customers, inventory, training and support.
At Coyle, you’ll have them.
- Approximately 1,500 customer leads generated every month
- More than 500 new and pre‑owned vehicles across our dealerships
- Over 220 vehicles sold each month between our Chevrolet GMC and Nissan locations
- Strong walk‑in, phone and internet traffic
- Opportunities to build your own book of repeat and referral business
- Experienced management and sales teams to help you succeed
We provide the opportunity. What you do with it is up to you.
EARNING POTENTIAL
Successful Coyle Sales Consultants can earn $50,000–$75,000+ annually, with several of our top performers approaching or exceeding $100,000 per year.
Compensation includes:
- Commission-based pay
- Gross-profit opportunities
- Unit bonuses
- Additional performance incentives
- Guaranteed weekly income during your first 90 days of training
There is no substitute for performance. The more successful you become at selling vehicles and building your customer base, the greater your earning opportunity.
NEW TO AUTOMOTIVE SALES? THAT’S OKAY.
Some of the best salespeople don’t start their careers selling cars.
If you’re successful in retail, hospitality, wireless, furniture, insurance, home improvement, B2B sales or another customer‑focused industry, your skills can translate extremely well to automotive sales.
We’ll teach you the automotive side of the business.
Your first 90 days include guaranteed income while you learn, along with:
- Shadowing experienced Coyle Sales Consultants
- CRM and sales‑process training
- Manufacturer product training
- One-on-one manager coaching
- Ongoing sales training and development
You bring the personality, competitiveness and willingness to learn. We’ll help with the rest.
A SALES SCHEDULE THAT STILL GIVES YOU A LIFE
Automotive retail requires flexibility, but that doesn’t mean you should live at the dealership.
Our Sales Consultants work a five‑day workweek, and our dealerships are closed every Sunday.
You’ll also receive a weekday off, with a later start the following day.
That means two days away from the dealership every week while still having the opportunity to build a serious sales career.
WHAT WE GIVE YOU
We believe it’s our responsibility to give good salespeople the tools they need to succeed.
You’ll have:
- A large new and pre‑owned vehicle inventory
- Approximately 1,500 monthly customer leads
- Walk‑in and phone opportunities
- CRM technology and sales tools
- Paid training
- Manufacturer product training
- Experienced management support
- An established dealership with a strong customer base
- Opportunities to develop repeat and referral business
- An environment that isn’t buried in unnecessary corporate bureaucracy
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
The formula isn’t complicated.
- Be on time.
- Talk to people.
- Pick up the phone.
- Listen to your customers.
- Follow up.
- Complete your CRM activities.
- Treat customers and coworkers the right way.
- Fol…
