Role DescriptionThe Project Manager / Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Chattanooga, TN. This role is responsible for developing project estimates, preparing bids and proposals, and reviewing plans and specifications to determine material, labor, and time requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating project schedules, managing logistics and procurement, tracking progress against timelines and budgets, and communicating with field teams, vendors, and clients.
The Project Manager / Estimator will also oversee inspections, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, resolve issues that impact project delivery, and maintain accurate documentation and reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
- Candidates should possess Expeditor and Expediting skills to coordinate materials, equipment, and services and minimize delays.
- Candidates should possess Inspection skills to verify work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to relevant codes and standards.
- Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to organize deliveries, manage inventory, and support efficient job site operations.
- Relevant experience in electrical contracting, construction, or a similar field is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving abilities for estimating and cost control.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency with project management and estimating software, as well as general office applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in a related field is beneficial.
