Safety Specialist

Cleary Construction is seeking a motivated and experienced Onsite Safety Specialist to support our

growing operations throughout Clarksville and Nashville, Tennessee.

The Onsite Safety Specialist will work directly with project management and field personnel to promote a culture of safety while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. This individual will regularly travel to active job sites, conduct inspections, identify hazards, and provide safety training and coaching to employees.

• Conduct routine safety inspections and jobsite audits.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead toolbox talks and other safety training sessions.
• Assist with accident and incident investigations.
• Maintain required safety documentation and reports.
• Support project managers and superintendents in implementing site-specific safety plans.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety requirements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout all job sites.

• Experience in construction safety or occupational safety.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and professionally in the field.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with safety management software is a plus.

• Heavy Civil, Utility, or Natural Gas construction experience.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• CHST, STSC, ASP, CSP, or similar safety credential is a plus.
