Instructor Position in Economics

Austin Peay State University’s College of Business, in pursuit of AACSB accreditation, invites qualified applications for an adjunct instructor position in economics for the 2024/25 academic year. Successful applicants will primarily teach finance courses at the undergraduate level.

• Possess the knowledge, talents, and skills in economics and multiple teaching methodologies, including conventional, online, hybrid, flipped, and blended courses.
• Demonstrate respect for the diverse learning needs of students.
• Develop and implement curriculum objectives and content for the courses taught.
• Demand and maintain high standards and expectations for all students.
• Develop and implement evaluation and assessment techniques that are appropriate for each course.
• Assess student learning regularly and provide frequent feedback on performance.
• Be qualified under College of Business policy and consistent with AACSB standards.

Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

• Master’s degree in economics or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in economics; OR a Master’s degree in Business with 3+ years of professional experience related to economics; OR classification as Instructional Practitioner (IP) according to AACSB standards.
