Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a English Language Teacher (ESL) to provide in-person, customized lessons to children in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Format: small group class for an 8-year-old twin boy and girl.

Availability:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings

Preferred start date:
Aug 1

Lessons Frequency: 4 x week; 1-hour lessons

Current language level:
Complete beginner

Native and other spoken languages:
Spanish

--Student’s language needs and goals [boy]:
The student needs lessons with hands-on activities and a lot of movement. He needs to be able to explain their needs at school, ask for help, and also make friends.

--Student’s language needs and goals [girl]:
The student needs to build her confidence communicating at school, including understanding teachers, asking for help, expressing emotions and concerns appropriate, making friends, and developing culturally appropriate boundary-setting skills.

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners towards learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

• To have a native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• To have a degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field.
• To have a minimum of two years of experience teaching ESL
• Experience teaching children is a must.
