Job DescriptionPigler Automation is a growing industrial automation company looking to add a Controls Engineering Intern to our team. This is an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience working alongside experienced engineers on real‑world automation projects that help power industries around the world.

What You’ll Do- Creating and updating AutoCAD electrical drawings
- Assisting with panel layouts, rack layouts, and I/O documentation
- Supporting engineering documentation and project deliverables
- Assisting with virtual machine and internal infrastructure projects
- Learning industrial automation concepts including PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
- Working alongside experienced engineers to support active customer projects
- Participating in engineering reviews, team meetings, and project planning activities

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Computer Science
- Or a related technical field
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Interest in industrial automation, controls engineering, or manufacturing technology
- Exposure to AutoCAD, ePlan, or similar drafting software
- Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, manufacturing systems, or automation technologies
- Experience with programming concepts
- Knowledge of electrical systems or controls
- Experience with virtual machines, servers, or IT infrastructure
- Participation in engineering clubs, projects, competitions, or internships
