Job Summary
Electrical Designer II responsible for producing 3D and 2D designs and documentation for control projects in Trane Commercial Field Sales & Service offices.
Responsibilities- Produce designs and documentation using computer design and product life cycle management systems.
- Create and document parts and bills of materials.
- Develop knowledge of design and drafting standard practices, methods, and processes.
- Interpret oral engineering instructions, written procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketches.
- Lead small segments of large projects and ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Exercise sound judgment to recognize potential design problems and correct own errors.
- Maintain competency in computer‑aided graphic systems and related applications through provided training.
- Adhere to company safety and security policies and procedures.
- Support product or personnel training and travel to various locations as required.
- Work under the direction of engineers or senior staff; have work reviewed for accuracy.
- Associate’s Degree in Design or Engineering Technology (or related discipline) or minimum 4 years of experience with computer‑aided graphic solutions as an equivalent.
- Proficiency in Solid Works, Creo, Inventor, Pro Engineer or CAD/AutoCAD.
Annual base salary range: $58,045.00 – $80,640.00. Compensation type is hourly with no incentive or commission.
