This position is located at Blanch field Army Community Hospital, Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology, Fort Campbell, Tennessee. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Responsibilities- Provide independent preventive, therapeutic, and comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care.
- Collaborate with physicians regarding patient management, including evaluation and revision of therapeutic plans and management of high‑risk, unstable, or extremely complex patients, including the intrapartum setting within scope of practice.
- Serve as project lead or associate in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of obstetrics/gynecology healthcare.
- Perform and/or request laboratory, radiologic and other diagnostic and screening tests.
- Independently manage labor and childbirth in accordance with clinical privileges.
- Oversee compliance and adherence with preventive health care needs of all patients visiting the obstetrics/gynecology clinic.
- Provide teaching to patients and their families regarding disease processes and diagnostic tests.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements for Advanced Practice Nurse (Midwife):
- Graduate or higher-degree from an accredited professional nursing educational program in Midwifery.
- Legally recognized foreign credentials:
Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools if applicable. - A current, active, full and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a state, DC, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory, and a valid National Council Licensure Examination pass.
- A current, active, full and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse in the specialty of Midwifery or related specialty.
- Exemption:
Federal employees in the 0610 occupational series employed since September 27, 2017, with required documentation.
Additional qualification requirements:
- One or more full years of professional nursing experience (including ordering and interpreting lab results, managing labor and childbirth, and prescribing medications).
- Education must be evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. accredited program if foreign. No substitution of education for experience is allowed for this position.
