How You Make a Difference In This Role

The CJIS IT Supervisor will oversee the management, configuration, and maintenance of our Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) systems, ensuring reliable data transmission, regulatory compliance, and exceptional user support.

Job Overview

Supervise and manage the TIES Operations Unit. Monitor CJIS systems to ensure efficient and secure data handling. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate CJIS solutions within existing infrastructure. Monitor system performance, manage data traffic, and resolve technical issues promptly. Ensure compliance with FBI CJIS Security Policy and other regulatory requirements. Provide training and support to users. Develop and maintain documentation on system architecture, processes, and procedures.

Occasionally report to TBI Headquarters on critical outages.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience; at least 4 years working with law‑enforcement systems or databases.
  • Proven experience with CJIS systems and data‑handling protocols.
  • Strong understanding of CJIS compliance and criminal‑justice data security measures.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team.
