** Are you ready to lead a high-impact purchasing team and help drive operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Hitachi Energy in Alamo, Tennessee is looking for a
** Purchasing Team Leader
** to oversee procurement activities that support our manufacturing operations and supply chain  this role, you will guide a team of purchasing professionals, build strong supplier partnerships, and help ensure materials and services are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with business objectives. You'll collaborate across planning, inventory, operations, and leadership teams to develop sourcing strategies, improve supplier performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

** How You'll Make an Impact
*** Lead and support a team of buyers responsible for plant purchasing activities.
* Develop strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
* Review purchasing contracts and purchase orders to ensure policy compliance.
* Manage procurement processes for materials, equipment, and supplies.
* Partner with Planning and Inventory teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Resolve supplier concerns and support effective vendor management.
* Evaluate bids, supplier proposals, and sourcing strategies.
* Monitor market trends, purchasing performance, and departmental budgets.
** Your Background
*** Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience leading purchasing, procurement, or supply chain activities.
* Knowledge of supplier management, sourcing, and contract administration.
* Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
* Must be authorized to work in the United States.
