REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Manager Manufacturing (Maintenance) in Clarksville, TN.
The Lead Manager – ASC Manufacturing is responsible for managing various processes within the manufacturing environment that support the company’s vision and mission. This role includes responsibilities for managing production associates and/or maintenance personnel to meet production requirements, achieve cost and quality targets, and maintain a high level of employee engagement. The Lead Manager must demonstrate good communication skills, be a resource for direct reports, and exhibit leadership skills to maximize productivity, equipment utilization and overall efficiency.
Responsible for ensuring the safety of employees and protecting company assets. Other responsibilities include team leadership or facilitation to support process improvement efforts.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensures all programs reflect thorough application / understanding of policies, procedures and corporate and regulatory standards. Ensures compliance with safety, housekeeping and product quality standards and ensures regulatory and ISO (or similar certifications if required) requirements are met. Manage production or maintenance activities to meet production demand, quality and cost requirements.
- Provide strong leadership by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement. Foster a high ‑ performance, collaborative culture through coaching, development, and effective change management. Use sound judgment to align decisions with business needs, leverage best practices, and contribute to business case development.
- Support implementation of programs to ensure compliance with Company EHS polices Company Safety Rules and regulatory requirements
- Implement programs to support achieving Company EHS and ESG objectives
- Responsible for operational integration of EHS programs that result in reduction of health & safety risk and environmental impacts
- Understand responsibilities for compliance with regulatory requirements and Company standards
- Complete EHS-required training and participate in EHS programs as required by assigned site/role (e.g., PULSAR safety observation program, Safety Triggers).
- Immediately report all injuries and illnesses and participate in investigations and development of corrective actions
- Drive and support IWS implementation by executing key pillar activities, including DDS drumbeat, breakdown elimination, defect handling, maintenance planning and scheduling, equipment ranking, lubrication, spare parts management, 6S for shop tools and supplies, and AM pillar support.
What are we looking for?
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required and 7+ years progressive experience; or Associates Degree in Technical, Business, Management or related field and 6+ years progressive experience; or Bachelor’s Degree related field and 5+ years progressive experience.
- Demonstrated track record of high performance in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to make sound and timely decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven self‑starter who generates new ideas and challenges the status quo.
- Self‑motivated, energetic, flexible and adaptable to change.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Professional Suite and other system driven controls and data. SAP experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude. Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System is a plus.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, proactivity and effective follow‑through.
- Experience in an FDA regulated work environment and IWS experience are beneficial.
