REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Multiskill Operator
- Fusion in Clarksville, TN

The Multi-Skill Operative operates tobacco processing equipment and performs preventive maintenance checks, to ensure the efficient production of high quality tobacco semi-finished goods. Multi-Skilled Operatives are responsible for assigned primary departments and additionally cross-train for coverage of additional departments and/or other shifts as necessary. Departments covered include Moist Snuff, Threshing Line, Blending Line, Dry Snuff, and Prizing. The Multi-Skill Operative assigned to the Moist Snuff will have primary responsibilities for operations and preventive maintenance checks on the cutters, dryer, and tobacco press.

Your

key responsibilities will include:
  • Operate cutters, dryers, threshing line, product fill equipment, silos, breakers, dry snuff and blending operations, and perform preventive maintenance checkoffs.
  • Start, operate, and stop tobacco processing systems using appropriate control devices.
  • Inspect tobacco processing equipment to ensure proper operations in keeping with checklists and good manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor tobacco in process to ensure quality output.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervision, and maintenance, to report issues, identify causes, and recommend necessary improvements.
  • Accurately follow detailed work instructions for processes, preventive maintenance, and safety.
What are we looking for?
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer previous manufacturing machine operations
  • Required to pass forklift and scissor lift certification requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work any shift and in varying departments.
  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment operation, MMI, and PLC controls.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, proactivity, and effective follow-through.
