Job SummaryResponsible for planning, organizing, and administering patient care within the scope of training and expertise, collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes in conjunction with the objectives and policies of the hospital and the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Tennessee.
Hours of PositionFull‑time, days. Shifts vary between 0700‑1930, 0800‑2030, and 0900‑2130. One call per week and one weekend call (twice a month at most) are required, as is one major holiday and one minor holiday.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
- Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
- Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
- Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
- Nursing Patient Assessment & Evaluation Home Care (Novice):
Possesses fundamental proficiency to assess and evaluate patients in home setting, including primary care interviews, safety assessment, and comprehensive physical assessment. - Nursing Patient Education (Novice):
Demonstrates fundamental proficiency in providing patient education under moderate difficulty. - Care Planning (Novice):
Anticipates resource needs, sets priorities, schedules activities, meets deadlines, and adapts to changes with minimal disruption. - Evidence‑Based Nutrition Practice (Novice):
Searches for nutrition evidence to answer clinical questions under guidance.
