Job Summary
Responsible for planning, organizing, and administering patient care within the scope of the RN’s training and expertise, collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. This is done in conjunction with the objectives and policies of the hospital and the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Tennessee.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate in establishing the plan of care, coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
- Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient’s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
- Utilize the nursing process continuously to evaluate the patient’s progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions to achieve effective outcomes.
- Employ strategies to promote health and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Home Care (Novice):
Demonstrates the ability to assess and evaluate patients in moderate-difficulty home settings, provides autonomous, safe, physician‑ordered care, conducts primary care interviews, assesses home environment safety, performs comprehensive physical assessment, and collaborates with primary care providers as needed. - Nursing Patient Education (Novice):
Provides patient education in moderate-difficulty practical applications. - Care Planning (Novice):
Anticipates resource needs, identifies tasks, sets priorities, schedules activities, meets deadlines, and organizes work within direct responsibilities; handles multiple assignments concurrently, adapts to changes, and follows up to resolve issues. - Evidence‑Based Nutrition Practice (Novice):
Searches for nutrition evidence to answer clinical questions, working under direction of others when necessary.
- Certifications:
LIC-Registered Nurse – Licensure‑Others - Work Experience:
Relevant work experience, less than 1 year - Education:
Graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program
