Job Summary

Temp Force Nursing Collab is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for complex patients on the Stepdown unit. The role involves planning, coordinating, and managing patient care, including education, assessment, and evidence‑based interventions. The position floats across entities to meet scheduling needs and supports the Vanderbilt University Medical Center's strategic nursing programs.

• Shift options:
  Day (6:45 a.m.
  
  - 7:15 p.m.) and Night (6:45 p.m.
  
  - 7:15 a.m.)
• Hours:
  
  36-40 per week (based on unit needs)
• Compensation: $50 per hour premium pay

• Collaborate in establishing and implementing the plan of care, coordinating delivery across the continuum.
• Analyze patient information to determine nursing diagnoses and develop individualized care plans.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress toward goals, applying interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Promote health and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Provide patient and family education, preparing teaching plans based on complex learning needs.
• Communicate effectively and resolve conflicts with the healthcare team.
• Ensure evidence‑based care and monitor patient outcomes.
• Engage in professional growth activities per Board of Nursing standards.

• Registered Nurse license in Tennessee.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN Stepdown experience (2+ years preferred).
