LPN - WIC​/CSU

The position provides psychiatric nursing care to clients in crisis in the Walk‑In Center and Crisis Stabilization Unit, including medication administration, monitoring, and educational support to promote wellness and recovery.

• Monitors vitals, performs lab testing.
• Obtains and enters orders into the EMR from authorized prescribers.
• Administers medication to patients, monitors dosage, side effects, and documents reactions.
• Provides medication training to guests or their families/guardians.
• Oversees the nursing needs of guests.
• Acts as liaison between guests and prescribers, pharmacists, families, and collateral support systems.
• Observes guests day‑to‑day and documents in the EMR.
• Provides group or individual education as needed.
• Participates and/or leads staff meetings and training as scheduled or necessary.

• Effectively communicates via written, verbal, in‑person, and virtual methods.
• Has basic electronic medical record computer skills.
• Is detail‑oriented with effective problem‑solving skills.
• Possesses leadership skills.
• Has knowledge of psychotropic medications.
• Skilled in crisis intervention.
• Can de‑escalate patients/clients using evidence‑based de‑escalation training, including safety holds as necessary.

• Minimum of an Associate’s Nursing Degree from an accredited school or a waiver‑approved LPN in the State of TN.
• Licensure required.
