Charge Registered Nurse, Med​/Surg Clarksville

Job Summary

Responsible for administering and directing appropriate nursing interventions as prescribed by a qualified physician or mid‑level practitioner. Responsible for effective communication and accurate documentation. Displays professional behavior in accordance with Nursing Code of Ethics and CHS philosophy of service.

Full‑time, day shift: 6:45 a.m. – 6:45 p.m.

• Perform the initial nursing assessment and communicate findings with the assigned physician or mid‑level provider.
• Assess wound stage and measurements, document care plans, and evaluate patient status regarding desired outcomes.
• Identify patient care situations that require intervention.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide education to the patient and/or caregiver, and serve as patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center providers, the Program Director, and Medical Director regarding patient needs.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Licensure:
  Registered Nurse (RN); other required licensure.
• Relevant work experience: 2+ years in a clinical setting.
• Education:
  
  Graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program.
• Certification:
  Relevant nursing certification(s) as required.
