The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, utilizing therapeutic communication, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, and identifying nursing problems related to individual patient needs. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care, utilizes an interdisciplinary approach, participates in performance improvement activities, and provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the hospital’s mission and vision.
WhatYou Will Do In This Role
- Assess plans and evaluate patients’ care needs and carry out physician orders.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
- Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
- Identify nursing problems related to individual patient needs and plan individualized patient care using an interdisciplinary approach.
- Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure with Tennessee Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least one year of registered nurse experience.
- Acute Care RN experience preferred.
Tri Star Hendersonville Medical Center is a 150‑bed hospital that has provided high‑quality health care for over 40 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County and a Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Birth Center features Sumner County’s only Level II NICU services. The hospital has earned Gold Seal Certification from the Joint Commission for total hip and total knee procedures.
