Job Description: The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Clinical Faculty member is responsible for planning, delivering, supervising, and evaluating clinical and laboratory instruction to support student learning and achievement of program outcomes. This position participates in curriculum development, program assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with accreditation standards and nursing education best practices. The faculty member collaborates with students, faculty, clinical partners, and College personnel to promote student success and support the mission of the Nursing Program and the College.
Additional responsibilities include participation in departmental, divisional, and College committees and activities as assigned. The standard teaching load is five courses per fall and spring semester. Summer teaching opportunities may be available based on program needs.
- Master’s of Science with a major in Nursing and valid Illinois Registered Nurse License for the ADN Nursing Program
- Two years’ experience in clinical nursing practice
- Two years’ teaching experience
- Psychiatric, Medical, and Surgical nursing experience
- Operates standard office equipment such as phone and computer on a frequent basis.
- Receives, processes, and provides visual and verbal information, including electronic communications.
- Is available for occasional irregular hours or travel.
- Must be able to travel for clinicals.
- Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations.
- Provides timely response to externally/internally imposed conditions and deadlines.
- Responds to concurrent, multiple, non-related issues.
Salary range: $44,738 - $95,241 per year
