Are you skilled at troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and equipment? Byard Construction, LLC is seeking a Mechanic to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of our fleet of construction equipment. As a Mechanic, you’ll be instrumental in keeping our equipment running smoothly and safely on-site to support the success of our mass excavation, utility, and paving projects.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, skid‑steers, wheel loaders, haulers, and more.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and diagnose problems with engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks and services on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure that all repairs comply with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
• Handle physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling tools and equipment weighing over 50 lbs.

• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with experience in construction equipment or heavy machinery.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Drug‑free and 18 years or older.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
