Position Overview
TEKsystems in Clarksville is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Commissioning Lead to support the final commissioning and activation of all low voltage and control systems. This role is responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring all systems are fully functional and ready for turnover.
Key Responsibilities- Perform commissioning and system verification across designated areas of the facility.
- Review daily checklists outlining which systems and zones require testing.
- Walk the site extensively each day to inspect wiring, terminations, connection points, and power availability.
- Verify readiness of low voltage systems including:
- Fire Alarm
- Access Control
- CCTV / Cameras
- Data / Cat6
- Fiber
- Building Automation & Controls
- Identify installation errors or nonfunctional components and work directly with subcontractors to correct them.
- Retest systems once repairs or adjustments have been completed.
- Maintain a professional presence while coordinating with onsite trades.
- Operate safely and efficiently in a large-scale facility environment that requires constant walking.
- Cat6 installation and testing
- Low voltage systems
- Controls and building automation systems
- Fiber installation/troubleshooting
- Use of scissor lifts and standard LV tools
- Experience reviewing drawings, schematics, and technical documents
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
- Previous experience running jobs, supervising crews, or leading installation teams
- Smart, professional, and capable of managing interactions with multiple subcontractors
- Strong work ethic with the ability to operate independently and without supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in complex environments
- Comfortable being on their feet and walking the facility all day, every day
- Previous experience in commissioning systems or supervising installation crews is highly preferred
This is a Contract position based out of Clarksville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
