Position Purpose:
CDL Drivers are responsible for the transportation of lumber and other building materials from the warehouse to its final destination in a timely and safe manner. The typical schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 4:00 pm

Primary Role Expectations:
- Pick up loads from lumberyard or warehouse
- Contributes to maintaining inventory by verifying accuracy of loads prior to departure
- Operate forklifts to load/unload trucks, as well as hand loading and unloading of materials
- Safely secure all materials on/in truck for delivery
- Must drive vehicle and operate equipment in a safe manner.
- Conduct pre trip inspections and other routine DOT paperwork
- Comply with all DOT safety rules and procedures
- Provides excellent customer service when meeting customers
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Three (3) months experience performing these or similar tasks; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
- Experience maintaining required logbooks
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
- Must have Class A or Class B license
- Knowledgeable of FMSCA regulations
- Experience operating Moffett/Piggyback and/or Knuckle Boom is preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift at least 80lbs frequently throughout shift (Lifting anything over 100lbs requires additional personnel and utilizing a dolly or forklift if possible)
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Walking, standing, climbing, squatting, bending, lifting, and kneeling are all required physical aspects of the job
- Must be able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions
