Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting, and customer communication activities daily, including labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor oversees the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products to meet service and cost objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities and drive continuous improvement.
- Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical issues.
- Develop systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably.
- Implement and report on ongoing cost‑saving measures and suggest efficiency improvements.
- Meet client‑specified KPIs and comply with quality system requirements.
- Provide direction and support to HR, assist in hiring, training, and professional development.
- Plan the daily work schedule based on work orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions.
- Review pending jobs or trends, reorganize warehouse space, and adjust staffing or supplies.
- Train new staff or delegate training responsibilities.
- Monitor job quality and quantity throughout the day, providing guidance as needed.
- Assign supervisory duties to experienced team members and keep management advised of progress.
- Maintain high motivation among team members and promote customer satisfaction.
- Support adherence to SOPs and train staff on SOP compliance.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or a related environment.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Preferred: MHE certification or basic MHE operation knowledge.
- Successful completion of a forklift training program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with RF scanners and WMS functions.
- English reading, writing, and speaking.
- Business communication skills.
Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities, count inventory, and perform related tasks.

- Lifting and carrying 11–20 pounds, pushing, pulling, reaching, squatting, or kneeling.
Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic chemicals. Noise level is low to moderate.
Compensation and BenefitsBase pay range: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 annually, determined by experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
