The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting, and customer communication activities daily, including labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower. People‑management duties include hiring, training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor oversees the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

• Conduct staff meetings to review daily and weekly work activities, plan, and assure continuous improvement.
• Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical issues that affect operations.
• Develop and enforce systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably, meeting productivity and service goals.
• Implement and report on cost‑saving measures; provide ideas for operational efficiency.
• Meet all client‑specified KPIs and comply with quality system requirements.
• Motivate, supervise, counsel, and, when needed, discipline team members; assist with hiring, training, and professional development; participate in performance evaluation and HR activities.
• Train and evaluate warehouse staff; assess progress and add duties as appropriate.
• Plan daily work schedules based on work orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions; prioritize tasks and assign duties to appropriate staff.
• Review pending jobs or trends to reorganize warehouse space and adjust supplies, equipment, or staffing levels.
• Maintain communication with management regarding progress, problems, and needed attention.
• Provide assistance in physical operations as required.
• Maintain high motivation and focus on delivering customer satisfaction.
• Support adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train staff accordingly.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience in logistics, distribution, or a related environment.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Preferred:
  Prior MHE certification or knowledge of basic MHE operation.

• Completion of a forklift training program.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with RF scanners and WMS functions.

• English, reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Business communication proficiency.

Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and personnel skills.
• Effective written and oral communication.
• Leadership, supervision, and planning abilities.
• Flexibility for night and weekend work.
• Participation in cross‑training metrics and ability to assist in multiple areas.
