The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies. The Associate is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and must perform all duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Picking: Use a pallet jack to accurately pick orders, stage products, and prepare items for shipment according to Standard Operating Procedures. Pack, band, shrink-wrap, and label products as required.
- Quality Control: Verify that products and orders meet quality standards, report damages or discrepancies, and fulfill all quality control functions as defined by SOPs.
- Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Execute safety protocols, maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility, and comply with all corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS standards.
- Equipment Operation: Operate equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently, maintain equipment, and report problems. Assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
- Work overtime as dictated by business if required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate.
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities and inventory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Adaptability to change in a fast‑paced work environment.
- 6+ months experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Current or prior Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification.
- Height, light and moderate noise exposure.
- Occasional handling/fingering, while sitting.
- Frequently bending.
- Constantly walking and standing.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 21‑50 pounds. Reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.
The employee resides in a warehouse with low to moderate noise levels and minimal exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
